This course is only suitable for research staff working within UBS facilities. If this does not apply, please see the Nominated Assessor Course.
Are you a member of a research group working in a UBS facility? Do you want to be able to assess team members against DOPS? Become a researcher assessor and simplify your assessment processes.
Content includes:
- The purpose and requirements of training and competency processes at UBS
- Writing DOPS
- Using DOPS to assess
- Giving feedback
- Adding assessments to MCMS
Information is provided by:
- Self-led online learning
- Live Zoom sessions with opportunities for discussion and questions
- Guidance documents, such as DOPS templates and MCMS guides
To complete the course, you must attend the live session (2 hours), draft (or review) a DOPS form, write a mock DOPS assessment, and be supervised carrying out an assessment. You will then be given assessor status on MCMS and able to assess.
Course cost is £116.22 for University of Cambridge staff or £121.65 for external applicants. There is currently an offer for one free place per research group - please state the group name on your application form to claim this offer.
