This course is self-paced, with a three month completion deadline. It carries 24 IAT CPD points and the cost is £205.80 for internal candidates and £210 for external candidates.
The estimated time for completion – including the assessments – is 12 hours. This is divided into the following sections:
- Legislation and ethics
- Management
- Culture of care
- Training and competency
- Animal welfare assessment
Each section has learning outcomes from the IAT NACWO course syllabus to ensure that this course is in keeping with the recent change in syllabus for the Introductory NACWO course.
There are also:
- Some self-assessment questions throughout the sections and an online test at the end of each section. Individuals can keep tabs on their progress.
- An online forum for queries
- Additional activities throughout the sections which you have the opportunity to submit for feedback if they wish
On completion of the course, a certificate will be issued with the year you completed the course.
