Aim of the day

This workshop is for those who want to learn how to make professional videos from inside an animal research lab on their smartphone.

Session information

This is a workshop for those who are interested in communicating animal research online. We will teach you to create videos on your smartphone so that they can be uploaded to your website and/or social media platforms.

Social media and websites are a fantastic way to share news. However, as communicating online becomes the most efficient way to tell stories, it’s important to make your content stand out. With a focus on video content, we will show you how to create and edit videos using your smartphone and how they can fit with your online strategy.

We will provide information about smartphone settings plus free and cheap applications for android and apple phones, as well as suggestions for video editing software for PC and Apple computers.

Course notes and other supporting materials will be made available to participants online after the workshop.

UAR member organisations receive four free training places per year. These can be spread out across different sessions or you can send four people to one session.

For non-UAR members, the cost per person per session is £450 + VAT. If your organisation joins UAR within 3 months of the training session, this will be deducted from the first year’s membership fee.
