This course is suitable for those that are new to training or will soon be training others in practical tasks.

Content includes:

  • the theory of training
  • organising and planning a training session
  • training aids and their benefits
  • different learning/teaching styles
  • constructive feedback and encouragement
  • creating a lesson plan

Information is provided by:

  • self-lead online learning
  • online quizzes
  • Zoom or in person sessions with opportunity for discussion
  • Guidance documents, such as writing session/lesson plans for the species you work with

Access to online course material is provided at least 1 week prior to the Zoom or in person session (all times to be confirmed at booking).

Certificates and CPD points will be awarded upon completion of online course material, attending the Zoom or in person session and writing a session plan.

The full cost of this course is £176.40 (£172.87 for University of Cambridge applicants).
