This course is aimed at laboratory animal professionals running or involved in the management of a large number of rodent colonies, such as colony managers and coordinators, senior animal technicians, and facility managers.

This course involves: four 2.5 hour webinar sessions plus four activities scheduled as follows: 14:00 - 17:00 (BST) Monday 30th September - Session 1. An introduction to aquatic species use in research and the 3Rs; 14:00 - 17:00 (BST) Tuesday 1st October - Session 2.
This course consists of three 3-hour webinar sessions (including discussion activities utilising the group chat function, polls, individual activities and breaks). Session one will cover: • Understanding, identifying, minimising variation and its impact.
Nominated Assessor Course
Online and in person options are available.
This course is suitable for those that will be assessing others and introduces the Direct Observation of Practical Skills (DOPS) system.

Animal welfare legislation
This module aims to provide an understanding of how other legislation interacts with ASPA and impacts on animals housed in animal facilities that are not covered by ASPA.
