ICLAS is an international scientific organization dedicated to advancing human and animal health by promoting the ethical care and use of laboratory animals in research worldwide.

The mission statement of the 3Rs-Centre Utrecht Life Sciences (ULS) is to stimulate the development, acceptance and implementation of methods which can Replace, Reduce and Refine (the 3Rs) animal experiments. The centre is affiliated with Utrecht Life Sciences and provides information and advice to the Animal Welfare Body of both Utrecht University and the University Medical Centre Utrecht.

ALTEX publishes original articles, short communications, and reviews, as well as news and comments, meeting reports, and book reviews. Animal experiments are defined by the editors as all experimental procedures involving the use of animals in testing, research, and education, or to obtain tissues, organs, and other animal derived products that may cause pain or distress to animals..

Animal Welfare  is an international scientific and technical journal. It publishes the results of peer-reviewed scientific research, technical studies and reviews relating to the welfare of kept animals (eg on farms, in laboratories, zoos and as companions) and of those in the wild whose welfare is compromised by human activities.

The Allen Brain Observatory presents the first standardized in vivo survey of physiological activity in the mouse visual cortex, featuring representations of visually evoked calcium responses from GCaMP6-expressing neurons in selected cortical layers, visual areas and Cre lines.
