SyRF is a fully integrated online platform for performing systematic reviews of preclinical studies.

"The Design of Animal Experiments" is intended for all research scientists who use laboratory animals, with the aim of helping them to design their own experiments more effectively.

Isogenic strains (inbred strains and F1 hybrids) are like immortal clones of genetically identical individuals. The same genotype can be reproduced indefinitely. They have already made a substantial contribution to biomedical research.

FRAME is dedicated to the development of new and valid methods that will replace the need for laboratory animals in medical and scientific research, education, and testing. Where the use of animals is currently necessary, FRAME supports the reduction of numbers involved to an unavoidable minimum and refinement of experimental procedures to minimise any suffering caused. The E-learning resource of FRAME has been set up to provide teachers, school children, students and general supporters with information about the different areas of animal experimentation and with specific resources as to how it can be reduced, refined or replaced. 

Humane Endpoints Website is provided by 3Rs-Centre Utrecht Life Sciences, gives insight into the recognition and application of humane endpoints in rodents. The website contributes to refinement, the prevention of unnecessary suffering in laboratory animals, by offering information, videos and photographs of rodent species. In addition, the website provides free training modules (accessible after registration). The site is currently available in EN, NL and FR. DE and ES will follow soon.

Guiding principles on good practice for Animal Welfare and Ethical Review Bodies (2015) (PDF 1.76MB). Developed and published jointly by the RSPCA and the Laboratory Animal Science Association (LASA), this resource aims to help in the efficient and effective operation of local animal welfare and ethical review bodies.

The aim of "InVitroJobs" is to enable researchers to access this branch of research more easily. Alongside the job search portal, the site maintains an up-to-date list of research groups active in the development of animal-free techniques. The primary aims of this list are to advertise job vacancies, to provide students with the opportunity to contact these research groups directly to obtain information for thesis assignments and to promote cooperation, networking and the exchange of ideas between researchers.
