The website LAS interactive (LAS = Laboratory Animal Science) contains a wide range of information on animals in research and on scientific methods in animal experiments.
Animal Free Research UK funds research that directly impacts the replacement of animals in biomedical research. Their aim is the replacement of animals in fundamental biomedical research as well as proving that valuable human-relevant science can take place with the use of non-animal methods.
This gateway provides a place for researchers funded by the NC3Rs to promote the 3Rs impact of their work, and publish rapidly, in an open and transparent manner.
The Guide has specifically been developed to support untrained database users in finding high quality information on relevant alternative strategies and methods to animal experiments from the wide range of sources available on the web. The Guide provides examples of search procedures, suggested search terms and user guidance. Target users are scientists, national authorities involved in animal protection and ethical committees verifying that all possible alternatives have been considered before conducting animal experiments.
This section contains a selection of resources highlighting the alternatives to using animals in research, testing and teaching.
Proceeding can be downloaded from the 10th World Congress on Alternatives and Animals in the Life Sciences- held 20th-24th August 2017
