The Centre for Macaques works to develop best practice in animal welfare, to promote physical and mental well-being of the macaques within the Centre and to share these practices with the wider primate care community.

Both sets of information were provided by Dr. Michael FW Festing (MRC Toxicology Unit) and were converted for Web presentation by the Mouse Genome Informatics Group at The Jackson Laboratory.

In 2006, the Transgenic Training Working Group (TTWG) was formed to identify and provide specific training for carers and users of genetically altered animals.

A group of passionate enrichment advocates from academia and industry are the spark for this effort to ignite and excite the laboratory animal community from top to bottom. Lots of people talk about environmental enrichment. We want to document what people are doing to foster lab environments that foster species-typical behaviors environmental enrichment.
